Aguka Initiatives.

was founded in March 2023 with a mission to combat teenage pregnancies empower teen mothers through education and entrepreneurship and minimize the cost of enough woods tob used. Building on our success in these areas, we are expanding our focus to include the economic empowerment of women in agriculture. Our approach is based on the belief that sustainable development can be achieved by providing women with the tools and knowledge to create environmentally friendly products that meet the needs of their communities.

Through our work, we have built strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders, and we are committed to driving positive social change by addressing the root causes of poverty and environmental degradation.

Target Beneficiaries

The primary beneficiaries of this project are women farmers in Rwanda, District Huye, and the Mbazi sector. These women, who are often marginalized and have limited access to economic opportunities, will be trained in the production of cooking stoves and briquettes. By engaging in this project, they will not only gain valuable skills but also access new markets, enabling them to diversify their income sources and improve their economic stability.

Aguka Initiative differentiates itself from competitors through:

- Empowerment Model: Unlike large manufacturers, Aguka Initiative focuses on empowering women in agriculture by involving them directly in the production process, thereby creating sustainable income-generating opportunities.

- Use of Local Materials: Our stoves and briquettes are made from locally sourced agricultural by-products, which not only reduces costs but also ensures that the products are environmentally friendly and culturally relevant.

- Community Engagement: We have strong ties to the local communities and work closely with them to ensure that our products meet their specific needs and preferences.
